Terra Navarro owns a slave. An angry skeleton with (understandable) trust issues named Sans. She never wanted this.
When the Barrier broke five years ago and monsters left the mountain, she was one of the first to fight for their rights. Instead she watched them lose everything. Despite fighting as hard as she could … she couldn’t do anything but watch as their rights and personhood were slowly taken from them.
When monsters were declared to be the property of the state, forcing them into slavery, she gave up.
Four years later, Terra was depressed and disillusioned. She was perfectly happy spending her days running from job to job, working 18 hour days and living at the very edge of her means. Well, maybe not happy, but she was surviving.
Until, on a particularly cursed day, she saw a skeleton monster being beaten in the street and she intervened.
For her trouble she got a black eye and ownership of a sulking skeleton.
Terra isn’t sure she can handle this turn of events.
She’s positive that she doesn’t have any other choice.
